What the result means
The output is an arithmetic estimate based on the numbers you supply. It is not a promise of future fabric behaviour, a garment-fit assessment, a care instruction or a certified test result. You are responsible for measuring appropriately, following the fabric’s care instructions and checking your project’s requirements.
Examples and accuracy
Worked examples use invented dimensions to explain the formulas. They are not typical rates for named fibres or actual tests of products. Although we check the calculations and welcome corrections, a measurement, software defect or unsuitable assumption can still produce an unhelpful estimate.
Appropriate use
You may use the calculators and keep their printed or downloaded records for your own projects. You may link to public pages. Do not imply that the site or a linked source endorses a product, guarantees a result or has performed professional testing.
Availability and revisions
Tools and content may change or become unavailable. Keep the assumptions and date with a record if you need to refer to it later. Check the live methodology for the current calculation rules.
